This set of worksheets will give your students practice in simplifying and reducing algebraic fractions.

Algebraic fractions are fractions that have some form of algebraic expression (complete with variables) contained with it. In most of the common problem types you will see here you first goal is to find the like terms and then put them together. You will also find a number of incidents where you will need to find a common denominator for the fraction itself. You do this by cross multiplying. This library of worksheets work on reviewing how to simplify and reduce algebraic fractions. Keep in mind that some of the given expressions will not be able to be reduced.

These worksheets also teach students how to identify numbers in an algebraic fraction that can be reduced, and show the steps for reducing and simplifying them.
