FOIL Isn't Just For Fencing

Students write equations on the board and attempt to solve them without using the FOIL method. Then, teach FOIL and have the students solve the same problems again.

Trigonometry: Sine, Cosine, and Tangent

Students will form three separate teams: sine, cosine, and tangent. 2. Each team writes equations and then competes to solve the most correctly.

Students will pick a destination and figure out a route to reach that destination from where they are. Next, they will estimate how long far that destination is and how long it will take to get there.

Students will rate their favorite math videos created via Math Stars on YouTube.

Create a deck of cards using Square Roots

This activity designed for grades 9-12 asks students to create a deck of cards that require the player to use square roots to determine the card value.

Design your own Game of 24

This activity designed for grades 9-12 asks students to play the Game 24, then create their own similar game that will be played in class.

Touch Down!

Students will play a math-themed football game in this activity. Two teams are formed, and each team will gain 10 yards on the playing field for every four equations they solve correctly. The first team to hit 100 yards will score a touchdown.
