How to Sort Objects Based on Size and Quantity - Math is not necessarily tough and difficult at all times, sometimes, it's pretty interesting and fun to study. Do you know what sorting is? Let's find out! Sorting means to place objects with regard to similar objects. In very plain words, it means organizing. We all know what objects are, right? And today we focus on sorting objects. Sorting objects is pretty easy, especially when it comes to objects. You start by creating different groups, for example if you have color pencils, you can create a group for each color and place every objects as per the color they have the most dominant. Now what if you were supposed to sort objects based on size and quantity? The easiest method is to start by making groups. Make groups of each type, size and quantity. Sizes include the height and the weight of the objects while quantity includes the number of objects with regard to something specific such as color. After you've made groups, start sorting!

Sorting items from a group based on features of the items is often a difficult task for Kindergarteners. This is because students will not pick the correct feature to focus on. They often get their mind fixed on a single feature. I find it often to be color or size. In this set of worksheets students will be looking at either the relative size of objects in the group or the number of objects in the group. They will then place these objects into categories. Your students will use the following collection of activity sheets to practice interpreting data presented in pictograph form. Students will sort and count items within tables and make tallies to answer questions.
