Double puzzles are word puzzles that have two steps to them, hence the word "double". The first step is to unscramble the letters found within the puzzle. The second step is to take specific letters from the unscrambled words and use those letters to decrypt a phrase of some kind. In some cases, the letters are numbered or in some way specified so that they are clear to the reader. This technique can be great for learning new vocabulary words or build on new words.
